First Church is known for its emphasis on missions. We have always believed that our church should be involved in reaching our community, our district and the world. Through the years that belief has translated into action as people from First Church have volunteered to work at some of our home mission projects. Many of us have given money in order to help struggling home mission projects purchase equipment, make repairs and expand local ministries.Still others volunteer each year to be part of a Work & Witness team that travels to a third world country. Through the years our W&W teams have built churches, clinics, schools and district centers. Without the financial support and the volunteer labor of our church and teams these projects would never have been completed. Thank you for your support of our mission outreach.Our W&W team will be leaving March 14 for two weeks in Ghana, Africa. Pray for the members of the team, and pray that God will bless the work and the witness of our members. It is the church in action - demonstrating our love for a world that needs Jesus Christ.
