Our mission statement is this; Mount Vernon First Church of the Nazarene Youth Group exists to Seek the Lost, Disciple the Found, hence the name Lost and Found Ministries. This is based upon the scripture Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost”. Everything that we do in our ministry flows through this mission statement. We have a variety of activities that we participate in. We are also looking to expand what we do so that we can better reach more teens.
We have Sunday night Sunday school with our teens that starts at 5:00 pm with food, that’s right, food and just hanging out together. We then will have about 20 minutes of music and testimony. After that, we split into our three classes for Sunday school. The classes are 7th and 8th, 9th and 10th, and 11th and 12th.
We also have a Wednesday evening service made up of small groups and discussion time on certain topics and Bible passages.
